Unica Tsyurn (Unica Zürn; 1916 - 1970) - writer and artist, lover of the great and terrible-surrealist "Dismantler" Hans Bellmer , an unwitting victim of meskalinovyh experiments of Henri Michaux. Madness was not only her illness and rock, but also a method of artistic technique. As from a tube of paint, Unica squeezed out of a delirium, turning it into a phantasmagorical psychedelic sketches and drawings.

Unica Tsyurn was born in Berlin on July 6, 1916. Her parents' villa in Grunewald was full of exotic things - the father of Unica, a cavalry officer, traveled extensively in Asia and Africa. Later, eastern motives will often return to her drawings and texts. From an early age, the girl suffered from schizophrenia, which told in the autobiographical novels "Dark Spring" (1967): "Already in my childhood I was split into two halves ... I understand that in me, not enough men and women, but lacking just enough to prevent to live. " The book ends with a description of a failed suicide attempt, when a 12-year-old Unica jumped from the window.
